What is Matatabi?

It is a plant that grows in the mountain areas of Japan, specifically the Actinidia polygama. There are two active compounds in this plant that stimulates your cat, actinidine and dihydroactinidiolide. These are purrfectly safe for your kitty, the leaves from this tree are also used to make tea for humans to enjoy.

A study published in the BioMed Central Veterinary Research compared the effects of Matatabi on 100 cats. Almost 80% of cats responded to Matatabi! This is a much greater percentage than normal catnip.
